MMM - Migrants Music Manifesto
MMM is a European project aiming to enhance the languages and cultures of migrants and refugees in Europe through music.
Find on our site more than 60 reports and interviews, many European initiatives working in connection with migrants and refugees as well as various texts and documents dealing with the issue of Cultural Rights and Fundamental Human Rights.
The MMM project is a Creative Europe project bringing together different European partners:
Musiques de Nuit Diffusion/Rocher de Palmer,
CNRS - Institut ARI (France), EDRA (Grèce),
Alba Kultur (Allemagne),
Association Abusuan - Abusuan Intercultural Center (Italie),
ENCC – European Network of Cultural Centres,
Muziekpublique (Belgique).
Their knowledge of world music and tools for promoting undervalued cultures encouraged the partners to work on the development of educational tools for promoting mother tongues, and therefore cultures , and thus fight against the phenomena of glottophobia.
Discover the testimonials of three of the partners of the Migrants Music Manifesto project made during the event at Rocher de Palmer from Sunday April 3 to Wednesday April 6, 2022.
Video recording of the MMM Concert in Germany - As part of a residency with the albaKultur association in Germany, musicians exiled in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brussels, with roots in multiple non-Western musical cultures, have developed a joint concert program with new compositions.
Throughout the project, the partners conducted cultural and educational, local and international artistic residencies integrating musicians, singers (refugees) and an immigrant audience. These residencies take place at Rocher de Palmer/FR, Abusuan Intercural Center/IT, Muziekpublique /BE, Alba Kultur/DE.
Find the various video recordings from these residencies.
One of the objectives of the MMM project is to enhance the documentary background of Atelier 144, bringing together various reports and interviews around music from here and elsewhere.
